KAREN LACY

LCSW

Clinical Director

PASRR Director

Owner

As a mental health therapist for over 22 years, I have worked with all ages and all kinds of emotional challenges. Some of the most common issues are relationship issues, depression, anxiety, and trauma. EMDR is a highly effective trauma treatment which has helped many of my clients permanently to significantly reduce disturbance caused by big and small traumas. I also use ACT, CBT and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) that help people with critical coping strategies that will help you prepare for trauma work, or for whatever lies ahead for you.

I've been married almost 45 years and have 6 children. I've attended BYU, USU and U of U. I am an active member of the LDS Church, and I enjoy helping people from any background, belief, religion, sexual orientation, or perspective. Most of my patients have noticed improvement in their lives following treatment with me.  Give us a call and consider getting scheduled with me, or someone at FSC who could help you meet your needs!

TREATMENT APPROACH

In therapy sessions with me, we would first gather a fairly detailed assessment about your life up to this point. The second session is usually about discussing diagnoses so we have a direction to head, and to set goals to work on in therapy. Following that, every week we would use this as a guide through therapy, with do-able homework assignments during sessions to help you progress.
