EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY
“You’re not working on the horse, you’re working on yourself.”
-Ray Hunt
Equine therapy is a chance to explore in an external view, what is
happening from an internal view. This means that we use horses to
help explain and identify emotions that may be difficult to put into
words. Horses are very keen to emotions and internal responses,
which is partly why they make such great therapy partners.
There is no riding during these sessions and there is a trained
equine specialist who assists with the interactions between the
individuals, therapist and the horse
